I read that infertility treatment can be deducted from taxes?

My husband is going to have a vasectomy reversal and my question is, can it, as infertility treatment, be deducted from taxes? At least part of it? Some websites compared it to the medical procedure to correct one’s disability (to have children) and such, I understood, are deductible. Do medical expenses have to be 7.5 % Gross Annual Income to be tax-deductible?

You can include in medical expenses the cost of the following procedures to overcome an inability to have children.
Procedures such as in vitro fertilization (including temporary storage of eggs or sperm).
Surgery, including an operation to reverse prior surgery that prevented the person operated on from having children.
How Much of the Expenses Can You Deduct?
You can deduct only the amount of your medical and dental expenses that is more than 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (Form 1040, line 38).
Do medical expense have to be 7.5% Adjusted Gross income to be tax deductible?
Yes. But if the only thing your itemizing on your Schedule A is your husbands treatments then your better off taking your standard deduction. (about 10,300+). Only if your itemized deductions are greater than your 10,300+ standard deduction, then go for it.
You can deduct out of pocket medical expenses. Would have to be more than 7.5percent of your adjusted gross income to be able to help. You do know that all out of pocket medical expense are included. such as prescription drugs, dentist, eyes, medical miles etc.
