how stressful is infertility treatment? does it put the couple on an emotional rollercoaster?
are the doctors sympathetic or do you need to seek additional support elsewhere?

Can you get pregnant w/o sex or infertility treatment?
I’m thinking along the lines of the shots; not in-vitro. My husband and I have been trying for almost 10 years….and we’ve had 1 miscarriage.
Btw, if it matters….I live in TN, no redneck/hillbilly jokes plz.
Ok, I have an appointment Jan.16 to have the blue die ran through me and the ultra sound…I know the next step depends on the results of that, but I’m just wondering (with either result)…what now?
If you are willing, please tell me your story ![]()
Thank you.
I took clomid for cycle days 3-7 then on cycle days 8-12 I took Follisitim. On the 13th day I took an HCG trigger shot and on day 14 had an IUI…. was hoping to hear some success stories!
symptom = infertility
treatment = birth control pills
disorders = ???
She does have heavy periods and anemia . Have tried for over a year . Anything herbal or prescribed Meds ???? Please help !!!
I’m concerned that so many children need homes yet we keep creating new ones even when we have trouble concieving.
Does anyone thing we’d adopt more if it wasn’t so difficult?
I live in a state that doesn’t require infertility coverage.
My DH and I have been ttc for about 8 months. We have been charting and timing intercourse the whole time and my charts look good (show ovulation and CM). We saw an infertlity specialist and he ordered a sperm analysis for my HD and a HSP for me.
My HD and I have only been with eachother so we know neither of us have or have had an STD, so my question is. Doesn’t an HSP seem like an invasive next step to take before blood tests?
What tests were ordered for any of you who have had trouble ttc?
I meant HSG ….
what is SSH?
We are young and healthy and have been trying for a baby for over a year now. My lab results are perfect, I ovulate regularly, husband’s sperm is very good – we have no problems at all. But, for some reason we cannot concieve. What are the next steps in the fertility treatment? To reiterate, lab results have been done and show no problem. I have been ovulating regularly – so no problems there, also.
I am planning to go through IVF this year. Please someone tell me how much of this is tax deductable. Diagnostics, Medicines, tests, procedures, etc.
Do i have to declare about these expenses at the beginning of the year? I mean if i go through this treatment, can i deduct it from tax at the end of this year?
My insurance covers 25000 after my deductible is satisfied (which is about 7,000 on the year)…In any case, I just want to know how far that will get me in infertility treatment. Thanks!
My husband is going to have a vasectomy reversal and my question is, can it, as infertility treatment, be deducted from taxes? At least part of it? Some websites compared it to the medical procedure to correct one’s disability (to have children) and such, I understood, are deductible. Do medical expenses have to be 7.5 % Gross Annual Income to be tax-deductible?
In Vitro Fertilisation which widely known as IVF is a procedure where fertilisation between egg and sperm occurred outside the womb. IVF is one of the major treatments available for treating infertility and it usually performed as a last resort after the other infertility treatments have failed as it’s an expensive and invasive process that involved the removing of the eggs from the ovaries and letting the sperm fertilised them in fluid medium hence it usually called the “test tube babies”.
There are many steps that you shoud aware off when doing an IVF treatment. These steps are
- Ovarian stimulation
When patients begin their IVF treatment, the first thing to do is the stimulation
of ovaries using series of fertility medication so it produces multiple eggs for retrieval.
- Egg Retrieval
The retrieval of the egg performed using a transvaginal technique that involves an utrasound-guided needle piercing
the vaginal wall to reach the ovaries and it usually removes between ten to thirty eggs.
- Fertilisation
Both eggs and sperms were incubated together for 18 hours or until the fertilised eggs show 2 nuclei.
- Selection
The embryos that fits the grading methods of the labs were selected
- Embryo transfer
The number of embryos transferred usually depends on the number available, the age of the woman and other
health factors.
Stress usually occurred in patients who are undergoing IVF because of their complicated procedures. While there are no correlation between stress and the outcome of IVF, it’s important to treat the stress as it sometimes leads to depression.
