How long does an ovulation test work for?

I took an ovulation test last night (I have been taking them daily – yesterday morning it was negative) and it showed that I was ovulating. So my husband and I did the ‘deed’. This morning I took another ovulation test and it was negative.
If I did get pregnant last night, would the ovulation test still show that I am ovulating or would it show negative?

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew of anything that I could do naturally to induce ovulation? I do not have periods at all, which obviously means I do not ovulate. My husband and I have 3 boys and desperately want a girl. I, in the past, have been on clomid to induce ovulation and it only produced softball sized cysts that I had to have surgically removed. After we used that my midwives put me on progesterone suppositories/creams and the next month I was pregnant!!! That was for our 3rd child and so we have been trying that again with the progesterone for the past 6 months and am not ovulating at all! If anyone has ANY suggestions/tips I would really appreciate it!!!!! It took us 3 years to get pregnant this last time and am really hoping it won’t be the same way this time around.
Thanks so much,

Are there any reasons why a doctor would not help with my infertility issues?

My periods have been very irregular ever since I had my daughter over 3 yrs ago. I want to have another baby very bad, but I never know whens the best times, and I can’t buy those ovulation tests all the time…so what can I do?

And where can you get a female OBGYN in Riyadh that is preferred American woman.

I am on Seasonique which causes my period to be different than normal, so I was wondering if that affected my ovulation calender or not. Would anyone know how i can predict my ovulation calender while being on Seasonique. I just wanted to take more precautions. Even though I am on the pill and other protection is being used I just want to be able to have sex while I’m not ovulating more than I could at other points throughout my life. Hope this makes sense and hope anyone has an answer to my question.

my boyfriend has had an inguinal hernia for couple of years now but never has constant pain or anything he only feels discomfort ever now and then, it really doesnt bother him , but what worries him is that if he has surgery he could become infertal or have an erctile disfunction …is that possible…can anyone help i would really appreciate it.

Please explain the connection between the two.
There is some sort of connection in some way. I just need to know what it is.

I have been testing since the beginning of my cycle. I say distinct changes for ovulation and about a week later another "ovulation" since then everyday has been "transitional". Has anyone had these results?

its kinda yucky to ask and to discuss but its important.

im masturbating 2 or 3 times a day or maybe just 1..

and is there any chance the can make you infertile? or i mean cannot have childrens?

I am trying to get pregnant and I would like to have a girl, so can I use the ovulation test kit in order to know when is the best day to have a girl?I know that in order to conceive a girl, intercourse should be few days before ovulation because female sperms live longer. Also, what is the best ovulation test kit for this poupose?

I have one beautiful son, but have been unsuccessful so far in having a second child (We have been using temp charts and OPKs. I am Ovulating and have basically regular cycles.). Neither my mother nor grandmother could have a second child after the first. Is this likely coincidence or could there be some kind of hereditary secondary fertility issue?

How often should I test for ovulation?

I am TTC but don’t ovulate normally. My cycle is ALWAYS different and I am on Clomid. I tested today for ovulation and there wasn’t a second faint line or anything! So would it be worth it to test tomorrow or should I save the test and try the next day?
Is there a certain time of day that is better to test?

Does abnormal sperm shape make a man infertile or does it affect the ability to maintain pregnancy? Can it cause birth defects like Down Syndrome? There is mixed information about it on the net.
To all you idiots asking how I know that it’s misshapen, my husband just had it tested. And we didn’t ask the doctor about it because she sent us a letter, we didn’t talk to her in person, and she isn’t our regular doctor, and she is also hard to get hold of as she isn’t at the clinic all the time.
