My last cycle was only 25 days long but the one before that was 32 and right now I’m at 26 and no period. How can I know when to even start testing with the ovulation tests if I don’t know how long my cycle is?

What I meant, was of the two possiblities, which do you think makes infertility happen more often…sorry I wasn’t very clear.

I have heard chances are only 25 % each month. We are TTC and I really need some inspiration! This is our first month trying but I am young, healthy, and got a positive ovulation predictor and we had a lot of intercourse the whole week. Can you please tell me about your experience getting pregnant the first month/first try? Also what you think my chances are?
All help appreciated!
Thank you

So far this month I have gotten a positive result with ovulation tests for 6 days this month, what does this mean? Is this normal?
These are ovulation tests that I am taking NOT pregnancy tests and I know that they are positive as they are equal in darkness or the test line is darker. My period is due in 9 days… My cycle is 31 days long. Maybe this helps.

If you was in a position where your husband may be unavailable to have biological children with you and you both have discussed what the alternatives may be and you talked about finding a sperm doner. Say you found a doner that you both are comfortable with and decide that if things have to come down to that this is what your going to do and you discuss this with your mother whom has never been in this position and they tell you they don’t support you because 1. she doesn’t feel we should be talking about this yet because we don’t know for sure that my husband cant have kids until Sept. and 2. she doesn’t want a grandchild that is made from the sperm of a gay man in fear that the child may turn out to be gay. what are your thoughts?
I obviously know that having a child using a gay man’s sperm won’t determine if the child will be gay or not and honestly i don’t care if the child were to turn out gay, i obviously have no problem with gay people if I’m willing to do this with a very close gay friend of mine.
ALSO like i said we are discussing alternatives IF my husband is unable to have his own children.I see no wrong with having a plan instead of being completely lost on top of being devastated if we do hear the terrible news of him not being able to have children.
My husband is in the process of getting tested for several things. We went through the process of seeing why after TTC for 2 years why nothing has happened. I had several tests ran on me and everything came back normal. My husband’s seamen analysis came back stating he has ZERO sperm. So we went to a urologist and he ran tests coming back that my husband either has no vas deferens or they are very small and sperm may not be able to travel through them.
So now we have to wait until we can get into the urologist that deals more with fertility to see if surgery is a option or if his body even produces sperm since this is a condition he was probably born with. The soonest we can get into this specialist is Sept 10th.

I am 8 days past Ovulation and I got a BFN.
I was Charting and using OPKs. Being young and healthy I didn’t think we would have a problem.
So do I need to wait more?

Do you use a calender? Body temperature? Or an ovulation kit? If you use and ovulation kit or have used one did it work? How do you use one?

I used an OPK (Ovulation predictor dip stick actually) for 11 days straight and never got a positive result. Somewhere within that 11 days I got pregnant. I’m trying for my second 3 years later and haven’t gotten a positive yet. Does anyone know how foolproof these are? Any similar situations?
I did ready Toni W.’s TCOYF book and totally agree there – just thought this was a good back up because my cycles are SO long!!

I don’t know if such a thing exists but would love to find a group that meet up (find on-line groups a bit intimidating) Looking for advice with charting and what to ask my doctor. He basically told us to go away for another 6 months! Been trying for 18 months and I’m 30. Hope someone can help, thanks

I got my AF today.I have a cycle of 26-29 days(it differs monthly). AF usually lasts 5 days. When should I start using ovulation strips to predict when I’m most fertile? Have been ttc for a few months but have had no luck so far so I want to start using ovulation strips as I am not sure when I ovulate in my cycle.
